2011  Montrachet:   (from  two  parcels  measuring  .59  ha  on  the  Chassagne  side;  one  of  them  is  planted  to  an  equivalent density of 14,000 vines per ha, notably higher than the more typical 10,000).  A wonderfully broad-ranging  if slightly toasty nose is still very primary and the density of the fruit with its  associated depth is  sublime.  There is excellent concentration to the overtly powerful, precise and muscular  flavors that are big but not necessarily massive before culminating in a finish that is even more persistent than that of the Chevalier if not necessarily finer.  (92-94)/2021+
