2011 Chambolle-Musigny “Les Fuées”: (from 50+ year old vines – this is Mugnier’s favorite vineyard in terms of its fruitquality). Mild reduction renders the nose difficult to assess but there is plenty of verve and freshness to the intense middleweight flavors that brim with both a fine minerality and plenty of palate coating dry extract. There is strikingly good precisionand detail to the impeccably well-balanced, long and, like the villages, saline-infused finish. Impressive. (90-93)
