Ce vin est issu d’une parcelle des Malconsorts à côté de La Tâche. De Montille a l’art de concilier
la puissance, l'élégance aromatique et la finesse des
textures.
Limité à 2 bouteilles par personne.
Tanzer :
2007 Domaine Hubert de Montille Vosne Romanee Les Malconsorts
Medium red. Compelling floral and white peppery
lift to the aromas of bitter cherry, Oriental spices, dark chocolate, pepper and crushed rocks. Really vibrates in
the mouth, with terrific energy framing the sappy raspberry and floral flavors. Finishes
broad, suave and very long, with terrific palate-staining intensity but an impression
of weightlessness. A wine like this could never be made outside the Cote de
Nuits-or at least it hasn't been up to now.

2007 Domaine Hubert de Montille Vosne Romanee Les Malconsorts
"Christiane"
Medium red. Ineffable perfume of wild
strawberry and white pepper. Then juicy, tight and backward, with a more
powerful crushed-stone minerality than the "regular" Malconsorts but
not the previous wine's texture and complexity. The energy of this wine is exceptional
but I find it hard to taste today. Montille says it's deeper than the regular wine,
but I'll wait to taste these two wines in bottle. Incidentally, these two
cuvees offer a rare near-perfect experiment in terroir, as the two parcels
feature vines planted at the same time and were vinified with 80% whole
clusters and the identical percentage of new oak.
