Beaurenard's outstanding dark ruby/purple-colored 1998 Chateauneuf du
Pape displays a vivid nose of blackberries, cassis, spice box, and
truffles. Full-bodied and dense, with superb texture, a dense
mid-palate, and long finish, there is tannin present, but it is sweet
and well-integrated. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2014.
